From visual arts to theatre, from belly dance to music, from murals to festivals, the 124 Street arts scene is buzzing. We’re home to art galleries, live music venues, and Canada’s oldest Gallery Walk.
On 124 Street, art is our passion!
Celebrate the Visual Arts with us
The 124 Street Gallery District is home to Edmonton’s top art galleries, tightly packed in a two-block radius, as well as studios ranging from photography, interior design, clothing design, and graphic design. It’s the place where art and business meet, a place for inspiration and imagination, creativity and commerce.
Seven of our stellar fine art galleries open their doors to you twice a year, in a special celebration of the amazing art they have to offer. The next one happens in Fall 2019. Stay tuned for more details!
The Gallery Walk, the first of its kind in Canada, was formed in 1986 to promote art and artists of merit within our community, focusing especially on work by Canadian artists.
Although the official Gallery Walk occurs twice a year, we encourage group walks throughout the year, and will happily assist in the planning of any gallery walk for schools, conventions, or groups in general. Please contact any of these member galleries about their specific artists, including if you would like specific information about upcoming Walks.
The Fall 2019 Gallery Walk is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 22 from noon to 4 p.m.
